I have started experimenting with acrylic pouring and creating new projects from it. My newest project is acrylic pour mugs and matching coasters. You select the colors and I pour the paint on to the coffee mug. The paint that drips off then drips on to the coaster, making it a matching set. I seal both the coaster and the mug. The mug is sealed with a sealant that is dishwasher safe. The coaster will be waterproof, however I do not recommend submerging it into water because of the backing.
As of right now, the backing is a felt cover. I will be changing the backing that I use for the coasters from a felt backing to a cork board style in the future. The backings are to prevent the tile coaster from scratching any surface it sits on. I have also added an option to have a canvas board instead of a coaster. Its perfect for home decor, and having a color theme. You can have it framed or left in a clear plastic sleeve. Below is a gallery of the two I have worked on so far.
I was live on facebook during my trial/experimental runs. They were big hits and I already have orders to fill.
Below are the videos from when I was live.
If you are interested in a set, you can find them on Etsy.com: Artist Shore Shop, Acrylic Pour Mugs and Coaster Set.
You can also contact me to place an order if you'd like. Just let me know if you would like a matching coaster, just the mug or a canvas board with it and what color scheme. Let me know what you think in the comments! Thank you for reading. |
