Window to the soul was a fun painting. The only color is the eye. The rest of the face is different shades of grey and black. This painting only took me close to 2 hours to do and was done on an 8x10 stretched canvas. This is the sketch I used as a reference, which was first drawn by hand by my husband and then I drew it on my iPad.

Daughter of the Dead is inspired by Day of the Dead. I was asked to give this a try, so I used my tablet to draw up a woman with the face paint. My drawing ended up being bigger than the painting, which worked out in my opinion because I could visualize where the lines were going off of the canvas. This was my sketch:
I feel my painting came out better than my sketch, which is what I love to see. I drew it on to the canvas, and this it how it looked before I started painting:
This painting took me about 4-5 hours. It is the second painting I have done with a person. I really enjoyed doing it because I see I have gotten a lot better with painting people. I used to be really bad at it.

My husband suggested I do this painting in 3 parts. Making it into 3 canvases, instead of my typical single canvas. I went ahead and gave it a shot.
I did this very basic sketch on my iPad using Adobe Sketch, transferred it to my computer and used Photoshop to fix up my lines and then used this as a basic reference for my images.
Below is the progression video for these paintings. I added a title to the video. Let m know if you like the addition, or if it was better without it.
