If you remember, I did a watercolor Koi. I had mentioned in the post that I wanted to try painting the koi in acrylic. Well...here it is!
This painting took me 4 1/2 hours to complete. I painted every scale individually. I really wanted to make the scales look like they overlapped each other and were 3D-ish.
I am sad that I accidentally ripped part of the painting when I was peeling off the tape. I managed to "fix" it but it definitely changes the look of the painting, making it unique.

This painting was done on 9x12 watercolor paper and is in a plastic cover.
It is available in the eStore!
I love Koi.
I have always thought those fish are so pretty and peaceful. I decided to try painting one in watercolor. I'm not too happy with it, but I still find it pretty. I plan to do it again but with the koi being acrylic and then a watercolor background. I was actually live on Facebook during this painting and had a good following during it.
While live, I was also recording the painting for the progression video.

I had two ideas, a thunderstorm, and a koi. I planned on painting both, but I wasn't sure which one I wanted to do first, so I let my followers on facebook decide.
I had 10 voters and the majority voted for thunderstorm!
The painting is on a 12x12 stretched canvas and is only done with acrylic paint. It took me an hour and a half to complete.
Here is the progression video for the the thunderstorm painting:
This painting was already purchased, so it will not be available in the eStore or Esty shop. But if you are interested in a similar painting, I would be happy to help! Contact me for details.
