Since I work a FT job during the week, have my sons baseball practice every Mondays and Thursdays (games start this Saturday and will be Tuesdays and Saturdays), and I have a work out routine; finding time to paint can be near impossible. So I have been multitasking to get new paintings out. This painting is an example of that. I wanted to try something different and decided to do a circle and paint within the circle. It is a mixed media painting, the sky is done with watercolors and the water is done with acrylic paint. I wasn't able to go live while painting this because I was working at the same time, I took progression photos instead. See below: The painting is on 300lb cold press paper, has been placed in a protective plastic sleeve and is currently available. You can find it at my Etsy Shop under the Mixed Media section.

It is of a snowy mountain, ocean waters, cherry blossoms, a sailboat and some birds. This painting is on a 24x36 stretched canvas. It will have a dust cover on the back and a wire for easy hanging. This took me a few days to complete since I wasn't happy with all of the open space. I kept adding to it. You can see the progression photos below: I wanted to take my time on this since it was a large painting. It required more details. I took several photos, up close to show the different elements of the painting. This painting has not been named yet. I am having a hard time picking a name. So I have created a poll with some possible choices, if you would like to help out, please vote on a name that you feel fits the painting. If you do not like the choices, you can leave a comment with your name suggestion. Edit: Poll ended and the name Spring Bliss won! I will wait a few days before I check the results and see what name you all chose. I hope you like this painting. Let me know what you think in the comments.
Thank you for reading, have a wonderful day! This is a unique piece because I took two sheets of glass. Did an acrylic pour on one and then on the other, I painted a white tree with pink and purple flowers/leaves. I then placed the white tree sheet on top of the acrylic pour and placed them both in a frame. The Tree casts a shadow on the acrylic pour and it gives a small 3D affect. It is a small painting, sized 4x4. This piece is available for sale at the Artist Shore Etsy shop. You can find the listing here: Acrylic Pour and Tree Painting.
I hope you like this piece. Let me know what you think in the comments. Thank you for reading. |
