I did this painting for one of my favorite youtubers/ streamers: It’sAGundam.
His puppy, Chuchi passed away recently and she had a part in his videos, and she used to "terrorize" him during his recording. He was having a hard time with her passing, so I painted a portrait of her as a gift.
I shipped it to his PO Box December 13th, 2018. I believe the USPS lost the package for a short time because it was sent priority mail, supposed to take 2 business days, but it didn't reach his PO Box till December 22nd, 2018.
This was the reference I used compared to the painting:
I wasn't live during the painting sessions but I did record it and create the sped up version of the painting, it is available on my Youtube channel, but you can also view it here:
He picked it up on Christmas eve, and did a Christmas fan mail youtube video, where he opened my package.
I recommend watching the whole video because he is great, but if you only want to see the reaction part for my painting, you can skip to 16:50.
Here is the video:
I was very happy with his reaction and shout out, it was way more than I expected. All I wanted to know is if he received it and liked it, but to see it in a video and be able to hear his reaction was priceless. I wanted to do something kind because I love his videos and feel his pain after having lost two kitties a few months ago, and I believe I accomplished that.
If anyone needs a portrait of a beloved pet, let me know. I am happy to do them!

So I received a personalized acrylic pour vase order for two vases with the same colors (different shades of blue and white, to try and make it look like the tide.). She also wanted a matching charm theme of sea shells.
The customer also wanted a sea glass look on any parts of the vase that show after the pour.
So here is the first vase, which is finished and sealed, these pictures do not show the charms:

I was live during the pour, which I had a great time making. Here is the live video:
I also added a ceramic tile to the area under the vase. I do this as a "just for fun" addition because there is a lot of paint "waste", which I don't like to just waste. So I will put something (Tile, Canvas, Canvas Board, Cup) under to catch the paint. In this case, I used a tile, and it "caught" the paint, I moved it around to cover the tile. After it dried, I decided to experiment with other mediums and added a layer of Water affects. It is a solution that is usually used in models to make water. I added it to the top of the acrylic pour and then sprinkled glitter, so it would give off the 3D effect. It worked perfectly. (Hard to see in images though).
As a precaution, I then used an acrylic sealant over the water affect to ensure it was protected and then I let it fully dry.
This is what it looked like right after sealing it:
Here is where it gets interesting and is considered a "surprise", A chemical reaction took place after I sealed it. Over the next few days, the colors changed. And new colors showed up that I didn't use at all.... like purples, and pinks.
So here is how it looks now:
I am sure the chemical reaction occurred between the acrylic sealant, and the water effect, but affected the actual paint. I love the result though.
Here is the before and after images to help you see the differences better:
(Right: Before; Left: After)
That is for the first vase. Today I got the paint on the second vase, and am hoping to seal and charm it before I have to deliver it.
Here is how the second vase came out:
So this is still drying and isn't cleaned up or sealed yet, which is why the bottom has paint and why it is upside down. Once this is dry, I can clean off the paint that is on areas it shouldn't be...like the bottom. I will also take better pictures of the vase. This is the best I could do, given it is still a wet vase on the drying rack.
Like usual, I was also live during the pour which was funny because you got to walk around a dark house with me. I didn't have a lot of lights on, so when I went to get the tile from the first order, it was dark in the other rooms.
Here is the live video:
Like the first vase, I decided to do another tile for fun. So I placed a ceramic tile at the bottom, and let it "catch" the dripping paint, Here is how the wet version looks:
So the vase and tile will most likely look different tomorrow, since the hidden colors may "break" through while it dries, sometimes it keeps shifting till it dries through and settles. So tomorrow, I will share better images of these two. I am going to do the water affects again because I am curious what will happen with this one.
I hope you enjoyed this post and these vases!

Thank you for reading,
I decided to do a blog post to catch everyone up on what's been going on with me and why I've been kind of absent.
If you've read my About Me section, you'll have some background on my intentions with painting such as that this is a side thing that I do for fun. I do have a day job and well a lot has been happening at that day job. So I was focused on making sure my team knew what to do and nothing fell through. I was assisting with running everything and it was taking a lot of my attention. And then while managing everything, a position at the company opened up, I went for it and applied. I was called for an interview and things moved quickly after that. I went through the interview process and was offered the position like 2 days later. I accepted it immediately and will be officially starting as an employee on December 3rd. So I have been focused on transitioning all my current duties to the other team members.
If you know me personally, you know that I have been trying really hard for 3 years to become part of the "family". I was so enthralled with the possibility that I focused all of my attention on getting that position. I am excited to start my new journey on Monday. I went from a Quality Assurance Specialist / Contractor to Implementation Specialist I, so basically I went from making sure the quality was good on the courses, to actually creating the courses =D
I have also been handling a lot of personalized orders that came in due to the holidays. Its been pretty busy with everything, but I love it. It's fun, and I am learning some cool new tricks and techniques.
This was one of my biggest orders:
On top of all of that exciting stuff, I am also working on myself. I started a weight-loss journey in August and have been working on it ever since. It may not seem like a lot when you look at time, but I have lost 27 pounds and a total of 5 inches all over my body. I've had tough moments of feeling like the stuff I'm doing is not having any effect and I wanted to quit, but I didn't. I am now at the point that I need new clothes because my clothes are literally too baggy or falling off of me. It's an amazing feeling and while I am taking care of myself, Im learning a lot about myself. I am considering having posts regarding my journey, because I feel my battle/fight with this stubborn weight may help inspire someone else.
This picture is a good example of my change. The picture on the left is me 1 year ago, and the one on the right was right after Thanksgiving.
If I start creating posts on the journey, I will be adding better progression photos. I honestly didn't have the confidence in my self in the beginning, so I didn't plan on doing great progression photos that really show it off. That will change.
So let me know in the comments if it something you'd be interested in, or that you agree that I should in case it may help motivate others. I have tried many "tricks" and things to help me. I'd provide everything thats helped me, what didn't work for me and what really helped keep me going.
The only other update that I have, is I am on TikTok now as well. I will share my artwork sometimes as well as some personal videos. If you're interested in seeing my goofy side, find me on there and definitely follow me. I try to come up with funny or cool ideas as well as trying out the challenges.

Well I think I am done for tonight. I hope you enjoyed this post. I am hoping to become active again like I was before once I am settled with the new position and my exam is over with! Let me know your opinions, thoughts, and anything else you'd like to mention in the comments. I love hearing from you all!
