I had submitted several images to the J Mane Gallery Art Exhibit themed H2O. Jon's Horizon, Pipeline, Waterfalls, and Mountain Stream. The painting that was selected was Jon's Horizon. It is literally the horizon where the sky meets the ocean. I painted it specifically for my husband because it reminded him of our cruise and the relaxation and happiness he felt while out on the water. I actually forgot about this art exhibit because I submitted my paintings a few months ago, but was quickly reminded with this email: The art exhibit is now live until
You can check out the current exhibit here: H2O You will find Jon's Horizon at the bottom. It is the last image on the list. Its an amazing feeling when you are accepted to these. Even if it is online, its surreal. To know that your art is good enough is amazing! I have a couple more art exhibits, physical ones, that are still deciding on the painting they will accept. I can't wait to see if I am accepted to those as well. One is a very well known gallery. Thank you everyone for the support! Let me know what you think of this exhibit, and about my painting. Thank you for reading. I am now on Redbubble.com. Redbubble is a site that allows artists to upload their work as an image. The artist can setup what products will showcase their artwork. I held a Painting Giveaway/drawing last week and it went really well. I had 22 entries and a lot of participants during the live video when I announced the winners.
In case you missed it, here are the details of the giveaway:
My page has reached 1600 likes and that triggered a painting giveaway!
The drawing will start May 26th, 2018 and end on June 1st, 2018 at 8:00pm pst. At 8pm pst on Friday June 1st, 2018, I will go live on facebook to randomly select 2 winners, using the help of my Alexa. How do I do this? I will put everyone that participated on a list, shuffle the names around, add numbers to all of the names and then ask Alexa to randomly choose a number between 1 and the last number. That will be the first person that wins. I will then do the same thing for the second person. The Prizes: First Person - option to have a personalized painting done for them, or they can choose to pick one painting from a list of possible choices. Second Person - get to pick one painting from a list of possible choices. How do you participate? The theme of the giveaway is Summer vacations. So if you would like to participate, all you have to do to enter the drawing is go to my facebook page and find the pined post which is on the giveaway and then comment with where you are planning on going for this summer, or if you don't have plans, you can comment with what your all time favorite vacation was. That is it! You will be automatically entered into the drawing! Lets have some fun!
After the video, I then contacted the winners to see what they wanted. The grand prize winner had the option of a personalized painting or they could choose a pre-existing painting from a list.
And the second place winner was able to pick 1 free painting from a list of possible choices. Holly Canfield chose Nature's Battle, a 16x20 painting of a sunset.
Heidijoy Gill chose a personalized painting. She wanted one done of her cat. I will be doing another post on this painting once it is completed.
I cannot wait till I reach the next milestone because I look forward to the participation level in the next drawing. I plan to do another giveaway when I reach 1700 likes.
Thank you everyone for the support! I wouldn't be where I am without you. Thank you for reading! |
